Accordingly, in the period from 2011 to 2021, 95 people were injured in Halle, where trams were clearly identified as the main culprit. According to the information, 131 accidents with personal injury caused by trams occurred throughout Saxony-Anhalt in the same period. Among the 204 people who died, 32 were seriously injured and three were killed, according to the State Statistical Office.

Significantly more people were injured or even killed in accidents in which trams were only involved in these years. The State Statistical Office counted 641 casualties in Halle alone; Across the state, 1,283 people were recorded in accidents involving trams - 20 of them would not have survived the incidents, it said.
