Hohe Börde/Hohenwarsleben (dpa/sa) - A mobile home drove onto a trailer truck at the end of a traffic jam on the A2 motorway near Nordgermersleben (Börde). The 50-year-old driver of the vehicle from Regensburg (Bavaria) died at the scene of the accident from his serious injuries, as reported by the central traffic and highway service of the police in Hohenwarsleben.
The man tried to swerve to the right in the accident on Friday afternoon. The driver's side of the mobile home crashed into the right rear of the semitrailer at very high speed. Its 62-year-old driver was unharmed. During the salvage work and cleaning, the lane in the direction of Hanover was temporarily closed. Traffic was diverted at the Bornstedt junction.
