Saxony-Anhalt: Osterburg is working on its own cinema history in an exhibition

Osterburg (dpa/sa) - The history of cinema in the Altmark town of Osterburg in the Stendal district is highlighted in an exhibition in the district museum there. After the opening of "Kino und Film in Osterburg" on Sunday, old fairy tale films should also attract visitors, appropriate to the Christmas and Advent season. According to the district administration, the show wants to inform, among other things, that films were shown in what was then the "Prince of Prussia" as early as the mid-1920s. Later, until the building was closed and demolished in 1992, there was the "Behne Cinema" and the "Cinema-Lichtspiele" including the "Film-Klause".

Furthermore, the history of the Osterburg film club and the traveling cinema are part of the exhibition, which is to be shown into the new year. According to the information, the classics "The Cold Heart" and "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella" are also on the program.
