Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - The picnic day in Saxony-Anhalt attracted numerous visitors to the state's parks and gardens in the best weather. In around 20 historic parks and gardens, they could have a good time, listen to music or pursue activities together. It's nice to see yourself as a picnic group and to feel connected to the people in the other parks, said Felicitas Remmert, spokeswoman for the organizers of the garden dreams network on Sunday.
Remmert himself was in the orangery garden in Harbke Castle Park, where around 150 people with picnic baskets had come to sing along to a choir concert. In Aschersleben, around 400 people came together in a "cheerful mood", in Zeitz 200 to 300 people came throughout the day. The organizers, with whom she was able to speak, were satisfied, according to Remmert. The Garden Dreams Picnic Day was launched in 2020.
The organizer of the day in the Lustgarten was also satisfied in Wernigerode. "People play badminton and football here on the meadow, the children can felt, we have an ice bike where everyone stops and we had small reading corners," said Christiane Wichmann.
