Bernburg (dpa/sa) - The police seized suspicious chemicals during a search of an apartment in the Salzland district. The substances served as raw materials for the production of explosives, the police said on Friday. When asked, the officials did not disclose the exact location of the search on Thursday.
According to the police, the chemicals were still packaged with the man. "Explosives have not yet been manufactured," said a police spokesman. There have been similar incidents over the past year where such chemicals have been ordered to produce pyrotechnics. The officials are now investigating the suspected manufacture of explosives.
