Naumburg (dpa/sa) - The summer evenings in Naumburg become musical. After the start of the "Naumburg Nights" concert series on Saturday, the cathedral garden will become a stage until August 20th. At the opening there will be Cajun music from France, performed by the Breton musician Yannik Monot and the quintet La Nouvelle France. According to the organizers, they take the audience on a musical tour from Brittany to Quebec to Louisiana and back. With the concert, the city is taking part in the French Days Franko.Folie!, which will be held at several locations in Saxony-Anhalt until July 14th.
The motto of the "Naumburg Nights" is "World Music in the Marientor". The program of the summer concert series also includes folk and jazz from Ukraine, klezmer music, Arabic jazz and comedy.
