Saxony-Anhalt: Saxony-Anhalt extends corona rules until June 25th

Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - The current Corona Containment Ordinance in Saxony-Anhalt will be extended until June 25th. This means that the obligation to wear medical mouth and nose protection and to carry out tests, especially in medical and nursing facilities, continues to exist. As the State Chancellery announced on Tuesday in Magdeburg, the ordinance no longer stipulates a test requirement for employers, employees and visitors to daycare centers. If cases of infection occur, the contact persons should continue to be offered free tests. This applies to both children and caregivers.

Shop owners, organizers and operators of facilities can continue to order additional protective measures within the scope of their domiciliary rights, including wearing a mask or tests.

The registered corona incidence in Saxony-Anhalt is now below the 200 mark. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) gave the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants and week on Tuesday as 190.4 - after 297.4 last Tuesday. Nationwide, the incidence on Tuesday was 307.2 according to the RKI.
