Saxony-Anhalt: Saxony-Anhalt: fewer building permits in the third quarter

Halle (dpa/sa) - The number of building permits in Saxony-Anhalt is declining. In the third quarter, 1,183 construction projects approved for construction were registered, the State Statistical Office announced on Wednesday in Halle. Compared to the same quarter of the previous year, there were 179 construction projects or 13.1 percent fewer. The number of apartments released for construction fell by 36.4 percent to 1,526. While the level of two-family houses has risen (plus 18.2 percent), the number of building permits for single-family houses (minus 5.4 percent) and for apartment buildings (minus 51.7 percent) has declined.
