Halle (dpa/sa) - Whether cordless screwdrivers, tool cases, hula hoops, luggage scales or home planetarium for stargazers: In the future, objects in a "library of things" can also be borrowed in the city library in Halle. The global "Sharing Economy" movement is behind the concept, as the city announced on Tuesday. The aim is to share objects in order to save costs and protect the environment. As a rule, these are things that are not used every day and therefore do not necessarily have to be bought by everyone. There is even a hammock to borrow.
The "Library of Things" opens on Wednesday. All users over the age of 12 who have a valid library card can borrow items. Duration: Maximum four weeks.
