Saxony-Anhalt: Simone Großner becomes state secretary after Michael Schneider

Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - Simone Großner will be the new State Secretary in the State Chancellery and the Ministry of Culture from October 1st. The state government announced this on Friday. Großner thus assumes the office of representative of the state of Saxony-Anhalt at the federal level. The 45-year-old also heads the state representation of Saxony-Anhalt in Berlin.

Großner succeeds Michael Schneider, who retired and said goodbye this week. The 45-year-old studied political science, American language and literature, and constitutional law. In recent years she has worked in the Federal Chancellery and as deputy federal manager in the CDU federal office and most recently as a sub-department head in the Ministry of Defence.
