Theesen (dpa/sa) - On a slippery road, a truck slipped off the road on Autobahn 2 near Theesen in the Jerichower Land district. The truck skidded on Monday night, hit a guardrail and fell over, the police said on Monday. There were no injuries.

A larger part of the A2 between Alleringersleben (Börde district) and Ziesar (Potsdam-Mittelmark district) is smooth, the police said. There have been other accidents in Saxony-Anhalt due to slippery roads, especially in the Salzland district. Drivers should therefore drive with particular care. According to the German Weather Service, there is a risk of ice in Saxony-Anhalt and it could snow by noon.
