Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - According to the will of the SPD parliamentary group, municipalities and residents should benefit financially from the expansion of wind turbines in their vicinity. In a position paper, the state government is asked to support the implementation of a new green electricity legislative package by the federal government. In the federal states in which there are higher burdens due to disproportionate area targets, these would have to be compensated for both by a direct reduction in the electricity price and by payments to the municipalities, according to the decision.
In the future, the Federal Government intends to set legally binding area targets for the federal states for wind power. Different requirements should apply due to the different requirements. Area targets of 1.8 percent by 2026 and 2.2 percent by 2032 are planned for Saxony-Anhalt.
