Magdeburg (dpa/sa) - On Thursday, the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt will discuss the work of the protection of the constitution, the planned citizens' allowance and relief in view of high energy prices. A topical debate is also on the agenda.
The citizens' allowance planned by the federal government was not able to prevail in the decisive vote in the Bundesrat on Monday. Now the mediation committee of the Bundestag and Bundesrat is supposed to find a solution - otherwise the citizens' allowance, with which the traffic light wants to overcome the Hartz IV system, threatens to fail completely. According to Federal Labor Minister Hubertus Heil (SPD), the committee is scheduled to meet on November 23.
