Magdeburg/Leipzig (dpa/sa) - The week in Saxony-Anhalt starts with the risk of black ice, and people can expect milder temperatures and lots of rain for the week before Christmas. With up to five degrees and rain there is an acute danger of black ice in Saxony-Anhalt on Monday, said the German Weather Service (DWD).

On the night of Tuesday, local ice is still possible with low temperatures of two degrees. A moderate wind is to be expected - in the Brocken region up to hurricane gusts. Tuesday will be cloudy with up to ten degrees. Occasionally it can get wet. Hurricane gusts can still occur in mountainous areas. At night, temperatures drop to two degrees.

Wednesday will be cloudy and wet. With up to ten degrees it will be mild. In mountain regions, it can continue to be stormy at night. It will cool down to two degrees on Thursday.
