Saxony-Anhalt: Supermarket in Halle cleared because of an abandoned suitcase

Halle (dpa/sa) - A supermarket in the main train station in Halle has been cleared because of an abandoned suitcase. Employees discovered the dark hard-shell suitcase on Tuesday evening in front of a fire door and alerted the police, as the federal police announced on Wednesday. Since the owner of the suitcase could not be found at first, the area was cordoned off. And special forces were requested from Leipzig. A few minutes later the 18-year-old owner called. The federal police called on travelers to always keep an eye on their luggage.
