Saxony-Anhalt: the driver hits a child: a ten-year-old is injured

Halberstadt (dpa/sa) - A ten-year-old girl was hit by a car in Halberstadt (Harz district) and injured. The child had crossed a street in the city, a police spokesman said on Saturday. The exact circumstances of the accident, which occurred on Friday, have yet to be clarified. The child was reportedly injured in the foot and taken to a hospital. The 38-year-old driver is being investigated for negligent bodily harm, he said.
