Saxony-Anhalt: truck with electric cars catches fire: A2 closed near Magdeburg

Eilsleben (dpa/sa) - A truck loaded with electric cars caught fire on Autobahn 2. The incident happened on Wednesday near Eilsleben (Börde), around 3.30 p.m. the police received the emergency call, as the officials announced in the evening. Accordingly, the motorway in the direction of Berlin has been closed for several hours. In the meantime, the oncoming lane in the direction of Hanover had also been blocked. This blockage was lifted again in the evening. The exact circumstances of the fire are now to be determined, according to the police.
