Leipzig (dpa/sn) - After an arson attack on a refugee accommodation in Leipzig, the action network "Leipzig takes place" calls for a demonstration. Alliance spokeswoman Irena Rudolph-Kokot said on Sunday that the aim was to draw attention to the fact that everyday racism was brewing in society and that too much hatred and hate speech was allowed.
Demonstrations are to take place on Monday evening in the Grünau district. There, unknown perpetrators had thrown several incendiary devices on a communal accommodation on Saturday night. A "punctual fire" was quickly extinguished by the security forces. According to the police, there was only minor damage and no one was injured.
