Taucha (dpa / sn) - An unknown hit and injured a 59-year-old tram driver in Taucha (Northern Saxony district) several times in the face. The driver warned the man on the tram on Friday not to put his legs on the seats, a police spokesman said. The passenger is said to have hit the 59-year-old on the head with a wine bottle. When he turned around, the attacker hit the face of the 59-year-old several times with his fist, according to the police.
The tram driver suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital for further treatment. The police are now investigating a grievous bodily harm. The culprit has not yet been identified.
