Dresden (dpa/sn) - A stroller in the basement of an apartment building caught fire in the Leuben district of Dresden for reasons that have not yet been clarified. A resident reported smoke in the stairwell of the apartment building on Thursday afternoon, as the fire department announced on Friday. When the fire brigade arrived on Birkwitzer Weg, a tenant of the house was already fighting the flames, so the emergency services only had to extinguish it.
The tenant was treated by the emergency services on suspicion of smoke inhalation. A total of 43 emergency services from the fire brigade and rescue service were on site in the Leuben district.
