Meinersdorf (dpa / sn) - In an accident on the federal highway 180 in the Erzgebirge district, three people were injured at Christmas. A 63-year-old came off the road just before Meinersdorf on Christmas Eve, the police reported on Sunday. As a result, the car overturned and came to rest on its roof in a ditch. The 63-year-old and the two passengers aged 60 and 83 suffered minor injuries. The car was totaled.

A breath alcohol test revealed a value of 1.14 per mille for the driver of the car. His driver's license was confiscated. He also received criminal charges on suspicion of endangering road traffic and negligent bodily harm.
