Saxony: Central Saxon cultural summer presents a full program

Leisnig (dpa/sn) - After two years of corona restrictions, the Central Saxon cultural summer now wants to draw on the full again. 40 events are planned in 20 locations in Central Saxony, as the organizers announced on Thursday in Leisnig.

At the beginning, choirs have the scepter in their hands. The Leipzig Gospel Choir will also be in the Nikolaikirche in Döbeln on June 11th. The following day, 18 choirs with around 600 singers meet in Lichtenwalde Castle Park to strike up songs.

This year, the summer of culture will also bring the procession of princes to life again: on June 19, the well-known Dresden mural will be recreated in Rochlitz and Seelitz.

In the following week, Johnny Logan, the two-time winner of the Eurovision Song Contest, will be a guest at the "KlangLichtZauber" in Mittweida. The program for the coming months also includes Scottish-Irish adventure days in Buch Abbey, a singer-songwriter summer camp, an artists' symposium "Art on the water" and a musical organ trip.
