Saxony: chase ends in JVA: weapons and drugs in the car

Plauen (dpa/sn) - A 35-year-old man was in a chase with the police in Plauen (Vogtlandkreis) on Wednesday evening and ended up in the correctional facility (JVA). As a police spokeswoman said early Thursday morning, he fled from a general traffic control. When fleeing, the 35-year-old ran a red light. The chase finally ended in a dead end. Three occupants of the car tried to flee on foot, but eventually stopped.

During the check, the police found that the car was wanted due to a lack of insurance coverage and that there was an arrest warrant for the driver. The police also found a gun and drugs in the car and confiscated them. The driver himself was also under the influence of drugs. Because he could not pay the fine he was given, he was taken to the JVA. Several ads were made against the driver and his 34-year-old passenger.
