Ulm (dpa / sn) - The Niners Chemnitz basketball team celebrated their first away win in the Bundesliga this season. Coach Rodrigo Pastore's protégés got the upper hand at ratiopharm Ulm on Saturday with 99:93 (80:80, 45:47) after extra time. With the guests Wes Clark, Jonas Richter (17 each), Marko Filipovity (15), Arnas Velicka (14) and Kevin Yebo (12) scored double digits for five players. Yago Mateus dos Santos (20), Thomas Klepeisz (19), Karim Yallow (14) and Joshua Hawley (13) scored best for Ulm.

For a long time it didn't look like the second success of the season for the guests. After seven minutes, Ulm was 22:9 ahead and defended this lead into the fourth quarter. With an 11:1 run from 72:79 (36th) to 83:80 (39th), the Chemnitz team took the lead for the first time in the game shortly before the end, but still had to accept the equaliser. In the overtime, the Saxons turned into three converted threes by Clark (2) and Mindaugas Susinskas on the road to victory and couldn't let the 93:89 lead (43 rd ) get out of hand.
