Saxony: Children should be integrated with music lessons

Dresden (dpa/sn) - In Saxony, people who have fled the Ukraine are to be integrated into everyday life in the long term with the help of music. The music council, together with 20 organizations, made instrument lessons possible for over 300 children and young people, the council announced on Thursday. 85 educators throughout Saxony were committed to this. Although the project, which was financed by private donations and foundation funds, is now coming to an end, the young musicians should continue to take part in everyday musical life. For example, the Music Council is looking forward to applications from children in the "Jugend musiziert" competition.
