Dresden/Leipzig (dpa/sn) - Several cigarette vending machines have been blown up in Dresden and Leipzig. This caused considerable damage. The police reported three cases in Dresden and one in Leipzig on Sunday. The unknown perpetrators each used pyrotechnics.

When a machine was blown up in Dresden-Löbtau, not only was the device destroyed, but the facade of a house was also damaged. The police estimated the damage here alone at a total of 15,000 euros. The other blown up machines stood at the Great Garden and in Dresden-Striesen as well as in Leipzig in the district of Dölitz-Dösen.
