Saxony: Classrooms in Saxony should get CO2 traffic lights

Dresden (dpa/sn) - For better protection against corona and other infections, all classrooms in public and private schools in Saxony should have CO2 traffic lights. The state government decided on Tuesday. Saxony is following a recommendation from the Federal Government's Expert Council. The traffic lights measure the carbon dioxide in the air and indicate when ventilation is required. According to the Ministry of Education, 45,000 ventilation lights would have to be purchased to equip all classrooms. The costs for this amounted to ten million euros. The budget and finance committee of the state parliament would still have to agree to this.
