He was arrested in Erfurt on December 20, as the federal police had already reported at the time.

The cobblestones were torn out at the Zittau freight station between December 16, 2021 and January 3, 2022. The paving stones had an area of ​​280 square meters. The federal police first gave the weight as 60 and later as much as 112 tons. The 55-year-old is said to have sold the loot. The total damage amounts to 45,000 euros.
