Reichenbach (dpa / sn) - Four people were injured in a traffic accident in Reichenbach (Görlitz district). A 62-year-old crashed his car into oncoming traffic at an intersection on Sunday, police said. The 38-year-old driver then went off the road, his car drove over a traffic island and crashed into a third car.
The 62-year-old and his passenger of the same age were reportedly seriously injured and were taken to hospital by rescue workers. The 38-year-old driver and his passenger suffered minor injuries. The couple's children and the occupants of the third car were unharmed.
According to the police, the 62-year-old had ignored the right of way at the intersection. The three cars were towed after the accident. The property damage is around 20,000 euros.
