Saxony: Corona vaccination: 833 suspected cases of side effects

Dresden (dpa/sn) - In Saxony, 833 suspected cases of vaccination side effects from corona vaccinations were recorded by the end of May. By then, a total of 7.3 million vaccine doses had been administered in the Free State, according to a response from the Ministry of Social Affairs to a small request from AfD member of parliament Rolf Weigand. Accordingly, 342 of these reports were assessed as serious.

Most of the suspicious activity reports reported were local and general reactions. Among the more severe side effects, cerebral infarction, pulmonary embolism or thrombosis were frequently reported. A total of 300 people with reported vaccine side effects were also hospitalized.

According to the ministry, there were also 50 deaths in connection with a vaccination. Of these, 30 people were over 70 years old. It is therefore also possible that when old people are vaccinated, deaths are also naturally recorded in connection with a vaccination. The ministry was unable to say how many of the deaths were caused by the vaccination.
