Saxony: danger of ice in Saxony after permafrost

Dresden/Leipzig (dpa/sn) - The end of the permafrost brings an acute danger of black ice to Saxony on Monday - the German Weather Service (DWD) has issued a nationwide severe weather warning. A warm front will end the permafrost, but will bring rain with it, which will turn to black ice on the frozen ground, the DWD said. According to Saxon police, it was still quiet on the streets in the early hours of Monday morning. In many places, no black ice has appeared. According to the DWD, the danger of black ice should decrease towards the evening.
