Sebnitz/Pirna (dpa/sn) - After extinguishing the source of the fire near the town of Sebnitz in Saxon Switzerland, the disaster alarm was lifted there on Tuesday. There is no acute danger in the Sebnitz area, said the Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains district office.
The ban on entering the forest in the operational area of Hintere Sächsische Schweiz, which also includes parts of the Sebnitzer Flur, remains unaffected. Emergency services are still active in the area. They fight the sources of fire and embers in the area of the city of Bad Schandau, for which there is still a disaster alarm.
With the triggering of the disaster alarm, the emergency services could be better coordinated and increased. The measure had no concrete consequences for the population.
