Dresden (dpa / sn) - Before the district and mayoral elections in Saxony, posters were damaged and destroyed in several dozen cases. By last Friday, 42 such attacks had been registered, as the State Criminal Police Office (LKA) in Saxony announced on request. Theft and damage to property were often involved, but the use of license plates belonging to unconstitutional organizations was also one of the offences. There were ten such attacks and thus the most in the state capital of Dresden; Görlitz follows with seven incidents. The total of 20 crime scenes ranged from Annaberg-Buchholz in the Ore Mountains to Bannewitz in the south of Dresden. AfD posters were stolen most frequently.
