The 57-year-old driver came off Oststrasse on Wednesday afternoon and continued on the sidewalk. She touched the right side mirror of a stopped car. At the intersection with Hoyerswerdaer Straße, the driver drove through a flower border and collided with a vehicle that was parked on the sidewalk. A 16-year-old pedestrian jumped to the side and was slightly injured.
The 57-year-old continued on the footpath and collided with a garbage can. As a result, an uninvolved car was damaged. The driver then collided with a 79-year-old pedestrian who was seriously injured. The woman who caused the accident also suffered injuries. The women were taken to a hospital. According to the police, the cause of the accident was probably health problems.
