Saxony: driver dies after an accident near Freital in the hospital

Freital (dpa/sn) - A 78-year-old driver was fatally injured in an accident near Freital on Thursday morning. The man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, where he died a short time later, police said. His 72-year-old passenger also suffered serious injuries. For initially unknown reasons, the car left the road between Freital and Tharandt, spun across the road and crashed into several trees. The scene of the accident was closed for several hours.
