Saxony: Drunk driver overlooks motorcyclists in Freiberg

Freiberg (dpa/sn) - A drunk driver seriously injured a 27-year-old motorcyclist in Freiberg (Middle Saxony district) on Saturday. The 21-year-old driver drove out of a parking garage and turned left contrary to traffic, the police said on Sunday. He caught the motorcyclist. He was admitted to a hospital. A breathing test of the driver showed a blood alcohol level of 1.0. A blood test was then carried out. The 27-year-old had to give up his driver's license. A complaint was brought against him for endangering road traffic.
