Kamenz (dpa/sn) - Fewer trades were registered in Saxony last year than the year before. A total of 26,163 registrations were counted, 233 fewer than in 2021, as the State Statistical Office announced on Thursday in Kamenz. A good three quarters of the companies were sole proprietorships. At the same time, the number of cancellations has increased. A total of 24,164 businesses were deregistered in 2022 - 3.3 percent more than in the previous year. The most common reason for deregistering a business was giving up the business, it said.
