Saxony: fire brigade finds body when extinguishing in Leipzig residential building

Leipzig (dpa/sn) - For reasons that are still unknown, a fire broke out in an apartment on the third floor of an apartment building in Leipzig on Sunday. During extinguishing work, "a deceased person was found," said an officer at the police headquarters' situation center. It is unclear whether it is a man or a woman. The identity has not yet been clarified beyond doubt. The fire in the south of the center of Leipzig became known shortly before 3 p.m., "the measures are still ongoing," it said. The criminal police are investigating.
