Görlitz (dpa/sn) - A 21-year-old fireman left his car off the road in the Görlitz district on Saturday and crashed into a tree. The police said on Sunday that it was probably driving too fast on the way to the fire brigade depot and was seriously injured. He had to be cut out of the car by his comrades in Schönau-Berzdorf and taken to a hospital. According to the police, the man had a blood alcohol level of 0.3. Blood was drawn from him and he had to give up his driver's license. Criminal proceedings were instituted against him for endangering road traffic.
