Mühlental (dpa/sn) - Five people were seriously injured in a car accident on Monday on federal highway 92 near Mühlental (Vogtland district). The 45-year-old driver left the roadway for an unknown reason, the police said on Tuesday night. The car then overturned and ended up in a nearby river. The driver was flown to a hospital in a rescue helicopter because of his serious injuries. The four passengers, aged 10, 13, 16 and 44, were also taken to hospital with serious injuries. It was not initially known whether the inmates were a family. The B92 remained completely closed for two hours because of the accident.
