Saxony: Gas and brake mixed up: 77-year-old seriously injured

Zwickau (dpa/sn) - A 77-year-old drove his car into a garage in Zwickau and was seriously injured. The man confused the pedals for the brake and gas when driving out of a property on Tuesday morning, the police said. He drove into the fence and garage of the property across the street. Paramedics took the seriously injured to a hospital. The severely damaged garage was secured by emergency services from the Federal Agency for Technical Relief. The material damage caused is estimated at 73,000 euros.
