Leipzig (dpa/sn) - The German Business Angels Day will take place in Leipzig from today, Saturday. According to the organizers, founders will be given the opportunity to exchange ideas with investors until November 28th. The congress has been held every two years in different cities in Germany since 2001. This year he is visiting Saxony for the first time.

According to the organizers, the meeting is the largest of its kind in Europe. During the days of the congress, among other things, special locations for the founding of new companies in Leipzig will be visited, including the old cotton spinning mill in Leipzig's Plagwitz district. Individual founders would also be honored with prizes.

The organizers are expecting a total of around 700 participants, including around 200 start-ups. Investors in the business angel network, the so-called business angels, spend around 2.5 billion euros a year on young, innovative companies in Germany.
