Saxony: Greens for FFP2 masks on buses and trains

Dresden (dpa/sn) - In view of the increasing corona numbers, the Greens in the Saxon state parliament have spoken out in favor of FFP2 masks on buses and trains. Health policy spokeswoman Kathleen Kuhfuss said on Sunday that they are an important means of protection, and that the enforcement of an obligation to wear them is not a matter of patronizing. More informative stickers in buses and trains could contribute to more acceptance. A simple medical mask is currently sufficient in Saxony. The Corona Protection Ordinance is valid until July 16.

In the health and care sector, the FFP2 obligation must be maintained in any case, explained Kuhfuss. In addition, a test must be introduced - at least every 48 hours - for unvaccinated and not recovered employees.
