Dresden (dpa / sn) - In recent years, Saxony has rarely paid compensation for those wrongly convicted. According to the Ministry of Justice in Dresden, there were no corresponding proceedings in 2018 and 2020, three in 2019 and one each last year and this year. A total of 6125 euros was paid in 2019, 2250 euros in 2021 and 1875 euros so far in 2022. Those affected had been convicted of willful bodily harm, insult, illegal trafficking in narcotics, fraudulent payment of benefits and property damage.
