Dresden (dpa / sn) - Ministry of Tourism and State Tourism Association are looking for Saxony's best and most innovative hosts. They are "real heroes", reinvent themselves every day, collect ideas, exchange ideas with the aim of "making the travel destination of Saxony come alive for locals and guests", according to a call for the competition published on Monday. This is intended to draw attention to the professions and people "whose heart beats for tourism" and to recognize the commitment of entrepreneurs, employees and volunteers.
Candidates are nominated together with the chambers of industry and commerce, the hotel and restaurant association Dehoga Sachsen and the youth employment agency, "the friendly lady at the reception, the professional advisor in the travel agency or the kitchen team who spoils the guests with culinary delights". A jury will select the winners, who will be honored at the Leipzig Tourism and Caravaning Fair (November 16th to 20th).
