Dresden (dpa / sn) - Saxony's Interior Minister Armin Schuster (CDU) considers a further increase in the police force to be essential. "For me, the report of the expert commission applies. It recommends further growth in the police force," said the 61-year-old on Tuesday of the German Press Agency. The strengthening of the Saxon police is his goal for the double budget 2023/2024, which is currently being negotiated at government level. The police in Bavaria currently have 14,062 jobs. Schuster said that it is now necessary to ensure that all recruited candidates are permanently employed in the police service and that the recruitment corridor is maintained for the next two years.
