Saxony: Jörg Urban re-elected as party leader of the AfD in Saxony

Dresden (dpa / sn) - The Saxon AfD has confirmed party leader Jörg Urban in office. The 58-year-old received 88.4 percent approval at a party conference in Löbau on Saturday. 229 delegates voted for and 30 against him, five abstained. Two years ago he got 87.5 percent, when he took office in 2018 it was 91.3 percent. Urban had no opponent. He sees his party in a leadership role in the future. In his application speech he announced, among other things, a membership campaign.
