Saxony: Lecture hall occupation at the University of Leipzig continues

Leipzig (dpa / sn) - The occupation of a lecture hall in the University of Leipzig continued on Wednesday. Talks between activists and the rectorate continued, said a university spokesman. About 20 members of the group "End Fossil: Occupy!" have been in the Audimax since Monday afternoon. Among other things, they call on the university to become climate-neutral by 2030. A proposal by the university management for a joint position on sustainability policy had been rejected as insufficient, the group said.
