Saxony: Leipzig University Library managed by boss for the first time

Leipzig (dpa/sn) - For the first time in its centuries-long history, the Leipzig University Library is being managed by a woman. Anne Lipp (54) will be ceremoniously inaugurated this Friday (December 9) as director, as the University of Leipzig announced on Tuesday. The 54-year-old had already started the work in November. Lipp succeeds Ulrich Johannes Schneider, who retired in March of this year. The Leipzig University Library was founded in 1543.
