Hoyerswerda (dpa/sn) - In Hoyerswerda (Bautzen district), a stray deer has been rescued from an allotment garden. The animal got caught in a fence at the entrance to the facility on Tuesday morning and did not come forward or back, the police said on Wednesday. The fire brigade freed the animal, but it was not saved. Instead of running back into the forest, the animal wandered around the gardens. After another call for help, the police moved out together with a huntsman who caught the animal and released it in an adjacent forest.
